An important showcase last evening for Chef Gianni Tarabini and the agriturismo La Fiorida when both were the protagonists on Canale 5 during the popular programme “Striscia la notizia”: during the food and wine section “Italian masterpieces in the kitchen”. Paulo Marchi, founder in 2005 with Claudio Ceroni of Identità Golose, talked with Gianni Tarabini of the gourmet restaurant La Preséf at Mantello who set out his recipe for chisciöi, a typical Valtellina dish.
Gianni Tarabini, born in Valtellina in 1967, grew up within the structure of the family hotel where he was to develop a passion for cooking. After experience alongside chefs like Erminio Curti and Massimo Bottura and a period working in the family restaurant, since 2007 he ran the kitchen of the restaurant Quattro Stagioni at the Agriturismo La Fiorida, at Mantello. Today in the gourmet restaurant La Preséf, within La Fiorida, he offers a cuisine based on local ingredients, most often from the holiday farm itself, and was awarded a Michelin star in 2013.
