La Fiorida will be the protagonist in an innovative project based on creativity, sustainability and nutrition.
On the occasion of the Fuorisalone event during Milan Design Week, scheduled from the 17th to the 22nd April, La Fiorida and La Preséf will be taking a major role in introducing “The Golden Age” Project, which will take place in the atmospheric setting of the Fabbrica del Vapore, under the sponsorship of the Municipality of Milan.
It represents a rigorous programme which will broadcast a message of sustainability, quality, safety, innovation and creativity associated with nourishment of every kind, through educational workshops for primary schools, a range of seminars and some rather special, star-studded dinners.
Fuorisalone has been designed to provide days full of opportunities and stimuli revolving around healthy eating and food authenticity.
Its primary mission is to develop greater public awareness with respect to the world all around us, focusing on food itself, diet and genuine nutrition. Through a series of afternoons devoted to seminars, workshops and further educational activities, young and old will have the opportunity to learn the art of baking, the various processes of cheese production and the value of all that is done well and which produces quality results.
At the very heart sits a Project for the elementary schools of Milan which will unravel over a period of an entire year and whose results will be exhibited for all to see in the Fuorisalone 2019. The artistic “patroness” of the Project is Caterina Crepax: every afternoon within the space allocated to The Golden Age there will be a wide range of educational experiences on offer to any elementary and middle schools within the Lombardy region who choose to embark on a journey involving intimate contact with the world and all things Natural; with due consideration to all of its rhythms and produce in order to appreciate their importance in the quality of the food cycle which is inevitably reflected in the quality of the environment and of life itself.
The wholesomeness and authenticity to be enjoyed in 5 “star” dinners
Alongside the Project is a further important invitation: 5 “seriously starred” dinners will be organised, co-ordinated by Chef Franco Aliberti and Chef Gianni Tarabini and their kitchen brigade based at La Fiorida, and which will also feature starred Chef Enrico Derflingher, Claudio Sadler, Tommaso Arrigoni. The proceeds of the much-anticipated dinners will support the fulfilment of the educational Project itself.
